Which browser should I use with MTMT2?
Google Chrome or Firefox are generally supported, regardless of the operating system. For macOS, we have found minor bugs when using Safari, which we are working to fix. We are continually working to ensure that the program can work properly with all major browsers, but please make sure that the suspected functionality is not working properly in supported browsers before reporting a bug.
My record looks incorrect, what should I do?
Before reporting an error, be sure to update the record by selecting the record (blue background) and then going to Operations and clicking Refresh selected items.
When logging in with EduID, I am informed that my user account is locked
If you want to use EDUID login, you must log in with the username/password pair the first time. If you have forgotten your password, use the forgotten password function. If you do not know your username, contact the institution's administrators or, failing that, the central administrators. Once you have successfully logged in, you can set your EduID login by clicking on your username in the top right corner, selecting Edit own data, then clicking on the EduID connect button.
Where can I find the list of Selected Publications?
This list needs to be compiled in MTMT2. Once the publications have been selected (individually or as a group), you can set the appearance in the list using the Add to selected publications function in the List menu. In the same menu, you can remove publications from the list by clicking on Remove. The current content of the list can be viewed in the Lists menu of the left panel. The list must also be made public, this can be set in the author profile.
The link to my website does not show the right data
The previously used links do not need to be changed, they will show the current data from MTMT2 from the 1st of December 2018.
I cannot log in to MTMT2, what should I do?
If you wish to log in with EduID, you must log in with the username/password pair first and then perform the EduID connection again.
If you have forgotten your password, or if you still cannot log in after several attempts, you can use the "Forgot password" function. After entering the username, the system will send an email to the email address stored in the database with further instructions.
When entering a new password, make sure that it is the right length, short ones are easier to remember but also easier to crack.
The New Password field will textually indicate when the password reaches the required minimum length of 8 characters. Use of upper and lower case letters and numbers is recommended.
If you have also forgotten your username, contact your institutional administrator or, failing that, the central administrators.
How to get the complete Public list of papers?
When logged in, click on the button with your username and select the Public list of papers menu. You can copy and paste the URL of the page that opens and paste the link to the list anywhere.
Alternatively, you can search for your name in the public interface and click on it to get the link.
The resulting list of publications will appear within the public interface. If you wish to skip this, click on the download icon. The resulting list can be customised under Visualisation options, which content elements should be displayed, and how many publications should be displayed without scrolling. These settings are included in the URL.
You can also select the display language (English or Hungarian). If you want to publish your work with a Hungarian interface, you can switch the language and publish the resulting URL.
You can also choose the API call, where you write your own MTMT ID in the xxx space at the end of the url: https://m2.mtmt.hu/api/publication?cond=authors;eq;xxx
Page reference within a pdf document
We have the possibility to create a direct link to the given page number in pdf documents, so that when you open the url, the pdf document does not open on the first page, but immediately on the linked page.
(The page number you enter must be the page number of the pdf document, not the page number shown in the original document.)
How to enter: http://...../something.pdf#page=xxx
In other words, the url of the full document must be completed in the above format with the page number information available in the pdf file at position xxx.
How can I configure my Specialty table to appear in the public interface?
Log in to the database with your login details. Click the button with your username at the top right and select Edit own data.
On the data sheet that appears, locate the Summary table template 2 field and select the table corresponding to your field of specialisation from the drop-down box, then click Save and close at the bottom of the page.
